Amelia is a Brooklyn based sound mixer, sound designer, and composer who has been working in the film industry for over 6 years since graduating from NYU in 2018 with a self-made degree titled “The Business of Sound”.  Through this major, she studied sound’s ability to be weaponized & its ability to shape and manipulate a listener’s experience, finding a home in production and post-production audio along the way. Her work stems from a deep fascination with the sonic world, both the beauty that can be found in the nearly undetectable (but felt) sounds of everyday life and the endless potential to shape the listener’s experience through the lens of sound design.

Since graduation, she has crewed on a variety of projects as a production mixer and has worked with companies such as Nike, Vanity Fair, Peacock, TIME, Forbes, Vogue, Little Cinema, Paramount+ and more.  Apart from her work with these companies, Amelia has extensive experience in the doc and narrative spaces.  In 2025 alone, she had two feature films premiere at Sundance (Heightened Scrutiny and Rebuilding) and two in Tribeca (After This Death and For Venida, For Kalief). Whether it is doing sit down interviews with toy experts on the historical importance of Cabbage Patch Kids (Billion Dollar Babies), running through dust storms in Colorado with her sound team to record the sounds of cattle drives and haunting musical performances (Rebuilding), capturing every breath in a slow burn thriller (Somewhere Quiet), or chasing down man on the street interviews (Vogue), she has seen it all in her years as a mixer.
